"O que o espelho nos devolve?
Essa foi a pergunta que atravessou minha curadoria para a segunda exposição da Galapagos Capital Art House: REFLEXÕES.
O espelho acompanha a história da arte há séculos, da pintura de Van Eyck e Velázquez aos experimentos de Duchamp, Pistoletto e Kusama. Em cada momento, ele assumiu um papel diferente: ampliar o campo da imagem, criar outras perspectivas, provocar estranhamento ou se tornar parte da própria obra.
Partindo dessa história, reuni quatro artistas, seis galerias e quatro casas de mobiliário para construir uma exposição sobre as diferentes formas que o reflexo pode assumir na arte contemporânea." por Fernanda Ingletto (@2.artlovers).

“What does the mirror reflect back to us?
This was the question that guided my curatorial process for the second exhibition at Galapagos Capital Art House: REFLEXÕES.
The mirror has been part of art history for centuries, from the paintings of Van Eyck and Velázquez to the experiments of Duchamp, Pistoletto, and Kusama. At each moment, it has taken on a different role: expanding the field of the image, creating new perspectives, provoking estrangement, or becoming part of the work itself.
Drawing from this history, I brought together four artists, six galleries, and four furniture houses to create an exhibition about the different forms that reflection can take in contemporary art.”— Fernanda Ingletto (@2.artlovers)
